The Ninth Woman

A supportive gathering of women who have experienced breast cancer. Meetings are a mixture of education and sharing. Occasionally meetings include partners and children. Support group mailing list option.
Program Times: 7-9 pm, First Mon or First Thurs every other month. (Location alternates between Meriter Hospital and Dean Medical Center. Call for location and dates.)

Kids Can Cope

Educational groups are set up in schools for children who have serious illness or family members dealing with death. Kids are taught about illness, grief, emotions, reducing their stress, how to cope, communication, and use of resources to take care of themselves. Instant Sisters

Support group for women who are survivors of metastatic breast cancer (breast cancer that has spread to other areas of the body). Occasional guest speakers provide education on pertinent topics. Facilitated by Anne McVey, Ph.D., Health Psychologist.

On site breast care services manager will help you throughout the diagnostic process by providing information on breast health and answering questions on breast health. Sponsors numerous support groups online and held at various locations. Screening and diagnostic tools. Surgical services and information. Genetic counseling, physical and occupational therapy, biopsies, lymphedema products and services.
